Ucamco (formerly Barco ETS) announce the release of their new Geometric Correction Sytem for their laser photo plotters. A software solution which allows the customer to produce distortion free panels.
Today’s PCB design roadmap calls for higher densities and finer features. As registration tolerances become tighter, non-linear process distortions become increasingly critical. Existing tools which compensate only for linear distortions are no longer sufficient.
Ucamco’s Geometric Correction System (GCS) provides a straightforward solution for both non-linear and linear process distortions. It allows to eliminate reproducible distortions in any production step.
GCS automatically modifies phototools to compensate for the non-linear and linear distortions introduced into a panel during the manufacturing process. By improving layer registration, GCS delivers increased factory yields and extends the plant capabilities with confidence into higher levels of PCB technology.
Karel Tavernier, Ucamco’s Managing Director, comments: “GCS again confirms our commitment to the PCB industry to provide our customers with the best tools available on the market”.
