Gardien Services USA is happy to announce their recent deal with Electronic Test Center Inc. that will ensure continuity of service as well as much needed technology upgrades to customers in the Chicago area.

With existing business ties in the area Gardien have been keen to expand to Chicago in order to better support their customers locally. The deal will also ensure that Electronic Test Center’s long standing relationships and valued customers can continue to rely on the service and customer satisfaction that has long since been established.

Gardien has previously announced their commitment to global R&D projects from which customers in Chicago will also be able to benefit, including OnTrack, Gardien’s in-house management system, which provides added efficiency and valuable data capture of production processes.

Gardien now has five of their facilities in the US plus their Toronto facility in Canada that have been granted Limited Lab Suitability by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This allows Gardien to conduct electrical testing for Continuity and Isolation (opens and shorts) and certify that the products conform to the following standards: MIL-PRF-31032, MIL-PRF-55110 and MIL-P-50884.

Todd Kolmodin, Gardien’s Vice President of Quality, has been managing the quality standards and processes across the US and Canada in order to attain the lab suitability status from the DLA.

Todd comments; “We have labored very diligently to acquire suitability for our sites and now have just one site remaining to be granted suitability, something we hope to achieve this summer. This will complete our Limited Lab Suitability acquirement across North America. It is a continuing process to maintain compliance with changing specifications and requirements, our standardization of processes throughout North America provides all of our test centers the required tools and knowledge to maintain our excellence.”

Singapore – Novemeber 9, 2011– The Gardien Group (Gardien) have spent the last two years carefully bringing together the right management team to further align the company and their service offering with the future demands of the industry and customers. They have now established their new corporate head office in Singapore. Mr. Jason Fraser, Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Roland Valentini, Chief Operations Officer welcomed Mr. Dag Jessel to the role of Chief Financial Officer earlier this year. With a combined 40 plus years of experience in the PCB and engineering industries they are well placed to drive both the technological and business development that Gardien aim to achieve

Mr. Valentini commented; ‘As well as having the right people on board it was important for us to establish our corporate head office functions in Asia, which is obviously an important region for the entire PCB industry. Singapore is an excellent regional location as well as having established itself as an international business hub.

Mr. Valentini also commented on Gardien’s plans for the future; ‘With the team now in place our attention is turned to further enhancing our services, technologies and business practices. The market is fast moving and if there are developments that we can undertake that will give our customers more efficiency, reliability and even greater assurance we know we are on the right track.’

Gardien have already developed the extremely successful OnTrack system which provides their customers with comprehensive web based ordering, tracking and reporting for their independent testing services. OnTrack, developed in-house in North America, is currently being rolled out across all their facilities worldwide. Staff across all of Gardien’s regions are now engaging in multiple R&D projects, looking at both regional and global opportunities.

Regarding Gardien’s financial commitment to R&D Mr. Jessel commented; ‘Within the PCB testing industry we have established ourselves as a global leader in technology development. This year our R&D costs will amount to 3.5% of revenue and we expect this to increase in the coming years in line with the ongoing challenges and advancements of the industry and our customers. This isn’t an industry in which you can afford to stand still!’

Further signs of Gardien’s commitment to ongoing development are the most recent appointments, in October, of Group IT Manager and Group Marketing Manager.
